System of a Down Part 1–Hu-man Egregore Part 6

System of a Down Part 1
AerialsSystem of a Down
There once was a time when we lived in harmony with our thoughts, emotions and actions.  Our creative, intuitive brain integrated well with our logical, analytical brain and we experienced a unified and magical world of wonder and raw excitement!  Life was difficult and survival was based on problem solving and cooperative strategies which utilized to the maximum our only real advantage over the so-called lower animals–our intellect.
We ‘advanced’ from roaming tribes of hunter-gatherers to farmers to specialized city-dwellers to the technology dependent digital junkies of today in a relatively short time.  Have we really advanced though?  Our science has made possible technological wonders totally undreamt of just over a hundred years ago!  Nikola Tesla, the man who made possible the widespread use of electricity was considered a freak and crackpot, and died poor and rejected by the scientific establishment.  Our environment has been horribly burdened with the waste products of our so-called advanced technology.  Our global society-cultural has been degraded to the point that nothing less than instant gratification of all םור desires is acceptable.  Morals, ethics, justice, common decency, self-reliance and pure creativity have been monetized and reduced to the lowest possibly form of currency which is traded, bought, stolen and disposed of like trash.  Our care for one another is based on the reciprocal meeting of our own needs.  We don’t just give for the sake of giving.  We don’t just help for the sake of helping.  We don’t just love for the sake of loving.  We don’t just grow for the sake of growing.  We don’t just live for the sake living.
Am I referring to everyone or just myself?  I am guilty of all this and so much more!  I have come to realize that the person I yearn to be is far removed from the person I have been for most of my life!  When I look in the mirror I see the ugly remnants of my former self.  I see myself as the person I was instead of the person I am or want to be.  This distorted and outdated reflection serves to remind me of the person I will never be again, even if I must die a thousand deaths to propel myself forward.  I have a very difficult time loving myself–if only I could see myself as the person I will be some day!
How have we arrived at this sorry state affairs?  Do not the thousands of years of our journey offer any hope of our becoming better than we are?  Why does human society seem to be devolving to a state in which we behave as pitiful creatures lower than the lower animals?  What animals wage genocide against their own kind and wantonly destroy their own habitat?  Can not our intellect help us overcome our steady decline?  No, by itself our intellect cannot save us from ourselves as long as it remains divorced from the spiritual ‘side’ of ourselves.  The division, isolation and disintegration of our Being cannot and will not result in an intelligence that can right the wrongs of our inadequate intellect.  As long as we continue to exist in this compartmentalized, segregated, isolated, insulated and separated comatose state, we will never achieve true intelligence, no matter what we may falsely think of ourselves.
So what of the knowledge we have supposedly gained over the course of de-evolution?  Is there nothing that can help awaken us from our dreadful, nightmarish existence and allow us to see the beautiful reality all around and within us?  Yes there is knowledge available, and yes it can help but only if it is utilized to probe, analyze, comprehend, understand and synthesize externally the Truth which lies within each and everyone of us.  We need only to awaken to our true selves which lay hidden just behind our false selves!

Vampires–Hu-man Egregore Part 5

Vampires
Wallowing, writhing in rotting defilement blood pool of a billion souls, corpses dead to all others but ourselves, blood sucking parasitic monsters hiding, sleeping in Darkness sublime, clock ticking forward to time, Darkness reigning supreme, moonlight reflection of cursed Son, starlight revealing light within–Son nearest star bathing prison in Darkness with light of freedom, blocked at all costs shielding, keeping out from heart of Darkness, submerged, drowning infernal red, life drained from the living dead to all but ourselves when dying to selves, setting free, releasing life, bathing in warm Light . . .
No, this cannot be, cannot let them see, the me yearning to be free; Must stay hidden in the Dark, must recoil from the spark, must not feel  on a lark, the Light so stark, shrink back, down into Dark!
Here in Dark, I cannot see you, you cannot see me, no not at all can I see! Asleep, in deep coma–here in Dark phantoms attract, worst becomes best, best becomes worst.  Dreams, nightmares, all the same, the me in creation all my life same as the me I cannot shed in death, life after death after life, wheel keeps spinning, head keeps spinning, guts keep retching defilement of a billion souls dead to all but ourselves, dying the death of the dead, vicariously living the life of the living . . . night of the living dead . . . dawn of the dead . . . day of the dying living . . . zombie apocalypse upon us, revealing emptiness, thoughtlessness, carelessness, hopelessness, heartlessness . . .
“Vicariously we live while the whole world dies . . . ” When will we see?  When will we awake, when will we know, when will we grow . . . up out of ourselves into each other, see each other, open to each other, hear each other, know each other, feel each other, become the other, LOVE ONE ANOTHER?  WHEN, WHEN, WHEN, . . . ?

Rage Against the Dying of the Light!

Toward the One–Hu-man Egregore Part 4

Universal Spirituality (Toward the One)
Hazrat Inayat Khan introduced Sufism to the west in 1910.  Since Sufism was greatly developed by (within) and contributed to the spread of Islam (some say that Sufism pre-dates Islam), many Sufis manifest the perennial Wisdom in Islamic terms in relation to the Prophet and the Qur’an.
Inayat Khan chose to express the Wisdom of the ages in non-Islamic terms, rather using terms more familiar to the West.  This was an initial movement towards a “universal” spirituality, uniting Eastern wisdom and Western Christianity.
To recognize the value and Truth of all religions and philosophies (as they all originate from the same source and point to that source) is a step towards a universal Hu-man mindset where we all regard each other as brothers and sisters in the Family of Hu-manity.  To understand that we are all “localized” manifestations of a unified and universal quantum wave function is another step.  In this journey of a thousand miles, these are very important steps, but there are many miles to go!
The most critical, dangerous and difficult stages of this adventure are those that take us inward to face the greatest enemy and obstacle there is–our false self or ego.  The ego uses confusion of mind to cause a defaulting to a focus on differences which then creates artificial divisions.  These divisions create schisms of self/other-than-self which isolate (protect?) the self from the psychic “slings and arrows” that others hurl at us, promoting a false sense of security, safety and well-being.  In reality none of these are achieved because the walls we build tend to keep us from understanding our true Selves since they focus our attention on our selves and direct it away from others.  We see ourselves as totally different from anyone else when we are really just like everyone else.
This disconnect of thoughts, emotions, actions and between the creative-intuitive and logical-analytical brain/mind hemispheres creates an illusory world which the ego puts itself in the center of and expects and tries to direct all others to revolve around it.  On a mass scale this leads to groupings of people whose false identity isolates them from other groups and leads to misunderstanding, distrust, conflict and hate.
The only way to eliminate on a mass scale the barriers which fragment the world community and inhibit the formation of a Hu-man egregore is to break down the walls within our own psyches by eliminating the egos or psychic aggregates (defects, vices and errors) which have been self-perpetuating and reinforcing since the moment of our entry into this world (life).
On my journey (or Path of Return) I have faced many obstacles, but one of the worst of these is my conflicted (mis-) understanding of the role and treatment of ego and the (apparently contradictory) different “remedies” of the Eastern and Western mystery/mystical traditions.  In the Buddhist tradition, ego is something to be annihilated so the Buddhata (Buddha nature) can manifest itself completely and freely.  The ego is considered to be an artificial construct which prevents integration and harmonious functioning of all our true aspects.  In the Western mystery traditions, the ego is considered a necessary aspect of ourselves which must be trained and controlled so that we can master and utilize the forces of nature to achieve the goals of love and service to humanity.
Now, I realize that these two seemingly contradictory goals are one and the same.  The ego or false self that is created by the malfunctioning of the intentionally isolated parts of ourselves must be reinvented by removing the hindrances or barriers which prevent integrated, natural functioning.  In other words, we must look at, analyze and comprehend the parts of our psyches which have never been allowed to honestly communicate with each other (or those around us).  When we have comprehended the nature of our egos and the resulting psychic division and isolation, we can begin the reintegration which will unify the psyche and restore balance.  From this balance we will be able to transcend duality and realize the unity (oneness) of the source (the Absolute).  This process is known as individuation, but it does not mean creation of isolated, egotistical individuals.  Rather it means removing the barriers that psychically divide us from ourselves and each other.  There is no loss of personal identity, but there are connections made between people that can promote empathy, compassion and love.
Seems easy on paper, right?  Yes it does, but it is not easy because the nefarious egos or psychic aggregates (components of the ego) do not cooperate with our efforts to comprehend their divisive, narcissistic nature.  Not only do they not cooperate, but they also fight against our efforts in ways that divert us away from our goal by leading us into false belief that we are making progress (cul-de-sacs).  I experience this on a regular basis, but the little progress I have made at least enables me to understand and maybe deal with my egos a little better.  MAYBE!  I’m not so sure sometimes because just when I feel like I am achieving some measure of success, I stumble and fall two steps behind!  Yikes!  As long as I keep getting up and moving forward, I will get closer to Home!

Quantum Apocalypse Blues–Hu-man Egregore Part 3

Quantum Apocalypse Blues
Dear fellow seekers (hopefully this assumption is close enough to Truth), I am writing this from within a relatively negative state of mind, but I hope it will come across at least as neutral and at best, inspirational.  The investigation and understanding (?) of the quantum nature of Reality is little more than a century old and has yet to find its way into thinking and daily lives of the majority of humanity.  As an advocate for the development of true science and not dogmatic “scientism,” I have long contemplated the nature, implications and application of quantum “non-mechanics” in the realm of spirituality.  Revelation of the counter-intuitive concepts of quantum reality introduces paradoxes into the thought stream which can serve to confuse and frustrate or inspire tremendous creativity depending on our openness and willingness to go with the flow or resist and try to paddle upstream without a paddle.
Since all matter can be reduced to energy, and all energy can exist as matter (E = mc²), thinking about matter in terms of energy can lead to a consideration of the dualistic nature of electromagnetic (e-m) energy (light) as either particles or waves.  Evidence of these contradictory natures has long been documented in the scientific community, but what are the implications?
The most important aspect of waves is that they carriers of energy which transfer energy from a source A to any other point B.  In the case of mechanical waves, some medium is required to transfer the energy, but in the case of e-m waves, no known medium is required for energy transfer other than the wave itself.  In this case, the e-m energy (wave) is carrying its own energy.  The concept of the ether was once used as an explanation of the medium thought to be required for the transmission of light energy, but so far no such ether has been detected.  This links with the idea of so-called “dark-matter” which has been indirectly detected but as yet unidentified.
Poetic Interlude 1
Free-falling into the blackness below, I try to focus on rationality and not let my feelings show.  I struggle to climb up and out of the well of despair, yet the inexorable, irresistible pull of that cavum nigrum . . .
Black Hole Sun–Soundgarden
In my eyes, indisposed
In disguises no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
The sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat, summer stench
‘Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I’ll hear you scream again
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (won’t you come)
Stuttering, cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
And sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes, a walking sleep
And my youth I pray to keep
Heaven sent hell away
No one sings like you anymore
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Hang my head, drown my fear
Till you all just disappear
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come
Won’t you come
. . . drawing me down into the origin of darkness, the pits of Hell within which I drown, by the Grace of God abandoned, the mercies of God forgotten.  I allow myself to fall, all the while clawing and scraping at the wall of the Chasm of the Abyss . . . yet out of the Limitless No-thing-ness a barely perceptible Light appears–growing stronger–that Light-of-the-Limitless-Nothingness bringing forth into this hell realm Infinite Creative Energy, wave after wave, particle upon particle a Divine tsunami of hope and love . . . I let myself go and be swept away by the cleansing waters, I drown, I die to myself and self-centeredness and begin to see the bodies of all those carried by the flood of tears, the agony of fears and all those wasted, lost years . . . floating, bloating, rotting, sinking, becoming . . .
I try to be positive yet I am still locked within the prison of my own making.  I keep searching for the escape route, always forgetting that it lies within the heart of Darkness.  For out of the Ain Soph comes the Light (Aur) emanating, cascading down through multiplicity, yielding the forms within forms and the Infinite energy of unlimited potential condensing into the complexity of the diversity of the Unity (unified field theory).
That Light of the Limitless Nothingness (Ain Soph Aur)–is it expressed on the the physical level by a universal quantum wave function–that infinite probability wave which contains limitless possibilities and only condenses into the physical unreality of the Standard Model of particle physics or appears as the four fundamental forces of nature? Or the “strings” of string theory or the branes of m-theory? Are we not part of that wave function, being a localized (?) manifestation of it?  If we are but a finite part of Infinity, are we not ultimately infinite?  If we limit our perspective that much are we not sure selling ourselves infinitely short?  My mind reels at the possibility (high probability) that I have just dipped my spiritual toes into the infinite ocean of cosmic consciousness!
. . . and the Darkness descends upon and wells up around from the Chasm of the Abyss . . . yet still that Light shines forth . . . illuminating my Path . . .
Salaam, shalom, shaanti, mir, heping, paix, paz, pace, pax,

Peace!
